I was showing my son some of the pictures I snapped last night of the swans at sunset and he commented how they look like the photos they use for inspirational quotes on his social media feed, which made me chuckle.
Mostly because they kind of do! 😄
I mean, I’m no expert, but that one could use a good quote, like:
Nothing is impossible. The word itself says ‘I’m possible!’Audrey Hepburn
No swans, but that is one inspirational ray of sunshine there.
To me, it is just perfect for a quote like…
If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.Roald Dahl
And then there’s this one. I think this one is literally my favorite photo I’ve taken.
It definitely deserves a good quote. I can totally see that one with something like…
When you have a dream, you’ve got to grab it and never let go.Carol Burnett
No, actually that’s not good enough. It needs something more profound, like…
Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.Mother Theresa
Yes, that’s much better!
How about this one?
This one needs something like…
Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else.Margaret Mead
Hey, I think I’m getting the hang of this!
“You should watermark those before you post them, just in case,” he warned.
“In case…?” I asked.
“In case you want to sell them or something!” he replied.
That made me laugh out loud! Do people actually sell photos for inspirational quotes? Is there a market for this? Do you need a degree? What kind of money are we talking here? 🤔
Then I realized he was being sincere and it was a compliment so I apologized and thanked him for suggesting it and told him I just do it for fun. I love to share our little corner of the world with whoever wants to see it, free of charge.
“But what if someone steals one and uses it for a cheesy inspirational saying and it ends up on my feed?” he asked.
“Well, then share it and tell everyone your mom took that picture, of course!” I told him.
He promised he’d do that. I told him I may look into getting a degree in making inspirational photos with quotes and he thought that was a great idea.
He’s a good kid. 😊
