Adios, Winter

Spring is just four days away now which is a good thing because I don’t think my mental health can take another month of heavy snow! Neither can the rest of me, to be honest. It’s been brutal!

Seriously, it’s been quite the winter and I am ready for it to be over. I have been shifting into springtime mode already, keeping the blinds closed as I do my spring cleaning just so I don’t have to see all that infernal white stuff anymore! 😄

I did manage to enjoy watching the kids sledding down the hill in the field behind our house a couple days ago, though, knowing it was probably one of the last times they’d be able to now that everything is melting.

I also spotted a red robin in a nearby tree this morning, sunning itself in the early morning light and probably hoping the snow would hurry up and go away.

My first robin sighting always makes me smile.

      1. I feel guilty because we’ve had such a good winter. We’ve had better weather than Southern California, which is odd. We are the only spot in the country where that’s happened. Normally, I have had a bad case of cabin fever by now. I feel for you.
