Well here we are, the worst of it has passed, leaving in its wake beautiful blue skies and a blanket of new snow. It’s still too cold out there to go sledding, or really even to get the mail (brr!) so the pups are outside running their pent-up energy out in the play yards.

Which we spent the morning cleaning up and digging out so the gates will work…

Thankfully my son was here to help with that because it’s not fun. I checked on the birds and everyone seemed fine…

So me and Juno came back in and watched the wild birds for a bit. The starlings have long gone and the sparrows are back at the window feeders…

And then we had some hot chocolate and celebrated the fact that we are one day closer to spring. Well, I did. She took a nap. 🌞
