Free To Go Nowhere

It doesn’t look like it much when you glance at the trees, because most of the snow and ice have melted on them, but the yard and especially the road is an absolute ice rink. I’ve watched two neighbors almost lose control leaving this morning.

I did have things I wanted to go do, mostly frivolous things, but after seeing that and the road I think I’ll just sit here and sip on my coffee and watch for birds. I keep thinking they’ll be on the crab apple trees but so far no luck.

They usually hold out on eating them until later in the winter I’ve noticed. Like a back up when everything else is scarce. Or a last resort, maybe? They are pretty bitter I’ve heard.

They are pretty, though.
