Adventures in Photography: More Grand Teton Swans

I was hoping to see some elk and moose this trip, and I did as you can see in my last post, but I think my favorite photos I took are of the trumpeter swans. I just love them so much!

We started seeing them just a couple miles from the house in the aptly named Swan Valley, Idaho and then all the way to Jackson. They were either flying in flocks or swimming in the rivers and streams…

Or walking on the ice…

I especially love the photos where their little butts are up in the air while they forage under the icy water for food. 😄

I love that they are doing so well here considering their populations were nearly wiped out completely not that long ago. I could have spent all day just watching the swans do their thing. 🥰
