I want to do a quick follow-up on my last post about my new friend who may or may not be named “Kevin” and why I think we all should answer these scammer calls whenever we have the time.
Like you, I used to just ignore spam calls until I started watching Scammer Payback’s channel.
After a few videos I realized that what he is doing, and what we should all be doing, is not only noble but is saving (mostly) older people from losing their hard earned money. He is a literal saint for the work he does and there are many like him out there.
Some of the stories he shares about victims is heartbreaking and really pisses me off. 😡
So I decided to do something about it.
While most of us can’t go as far as he and other channels do since they actually hack the scammers and get them raided (I told you he is a saint!), we can do our part to help stop these evil people by educating ourselves, our loved ones and taking time to let the scammers know we are onto them.
Since I have a lot of time on my hands, I’m answering every call now and trying to keep them on the line for as long as possible. Why? Because as long as they are on the phone with me, they aren’t scamming some poor old lady out of her money.
Also, before the call is over, they know that I know what they’re up to and maybe if enough of us do this they’ll eventually give up.
Just some food for thought.
Happy Sunday, everyone (unless you are a scumbag scammer)! 🥰
