And what is so rare as a day in June?
Then, if ever, come perfect days
Then Heaven tries the earth if it be in tune
And over it softly her warm ear lays
Whether we look, or whether we listen
We hear life murmur, or see it glisten
James Russell Lowell
While others seem to think it has come quickly, for me June has finally arrived after what seems like forever!
It’s my favorite month of the spring season mostly because it’s still cool enough during the day for me to get out and enjoy it and also because in June everything really starts to come alive.

Sure, we’ve had tulips and lilacs blooming the last few weeks. In fact, my late blooming tulips are STILL going (and going!)…

But now the other flowers are starting to bloom, like the pasture grasses…

And the perennial wildflowers…

Soon the lilies and irises and daisies and morning glories and everything else will follow.
In June there is still plenty of snow on the tippy-tops of the mountains, which is just beautiful to me, too.

It reminds me that winter isn’t that far off and we’ll be out playing in the snow with the pups again soon enough.
In the meantime, though, I am going to indulge in these warm, sunny, June days!

Beautiful
