Saturday Spillover: The Sun, The Moon & The Star(ling)s

I have a few leftover photos from this week that didn’t manage to make it into any of my posts, which isn’t surprising since I didn’t post much this week. It’s not that I didn’t have the urge, but I simply didn’t have the energy to do it. I have to prioritize my activities that drain me of my stamina and of course right now the pups take precedence over everything else.

Not that they give me much of a choice in the matter. They are just so cute I can’t help myself!

We haven’t been having those jaw-dropping sunrises and sunsets lately, but there were a couple that caught my eye…

The skies have actually been a bit quieter lately. I haven’t seen the swans in a long time now and we changed up how we’ve been feeding the poultry so the bulk of the starling population has moved on, too, it seems, leaving the house sparrows, doves, magpies, hawks and northern flickers behind.

Those little cuties aren’t going anywhere especially now that I set up the new feeding station.

I thought the trees may be starting to show signs of coming back to life when I looked at the photos I snapped a few days ago of the northern flickers but I’m not sure if it’s that or my wishing it were true…

I think it’s still a bit too cold for the trees to come out of hibernation.

The bears are still sleeping in their dens, thankfully, so we’re heading back up to do some mushing while it’s still relatively safe out there. When we get back, I’m going to work on making some soap (yay!).

I hope everyone has a lovely Saturday!! 😘
