The In Between Time

It’s that time of year when we switch back and forth between warm and cold, rain and snow, sled and buggy.

The pups don’t seem to mind whether or not the road is dry or wet or if the snow is there or not, they just want to RUN!

We don’t usually mind either, but it is more fun in the sled, if you ask me.

They get just as excited no matter what time of year it is at the thought of harnessing up…

..and loading into the truck.

This time of year means dressing warm but being prepared to peel layers off as the temperatures rise during the day and it’s also the time of year when hunters are out, both human and animal.

The grizzly bears are still foraging before going into hibernation, which means we have to be prepared for an encounter.

When I say encounter, I mean an attack. They are hungry, after all, and huskies do resemble wolves to a hungry bear, no doubt.

Can you ever truly be prepared for that?

I hope to never find out. 🙂

Wow, we no longer have grizzly bears in California. That’s just crazy that bear was just down the road from you. With all the fires in my area, we were having bears roam my subdivision neighborhood. Some were captured from those Ring door cameras.
I always enjoy reading about everyday life in other parts of the world.
