Sometimes it feels like we live in a Bob Ross painting so it’s no surprise that we often see artists with easels set up around our “backyard”, painting or drawing the mountains and valleys and waterfalls (and lakes and geysers and buffalo and elk and bears and moose and…).

I have zero artistic ability but I do wish sometimes that I, too, could translate the beauty I behold onto paper or canvas myself!

So, instead, I did the next best thing and took some of my favorite photos of my favorite place on planet earth and turned them into oil paintings using my photo program (GIMP).
