As someone who feels they were born in the wrong century, rather than finding these Easter cards from the Victorian and Edwardian era “creepy” or “weird” or “bizarre” (as they’ve been labeled by various sources), I find them quite charming!
Then again, I also say that about the German Christmas cards featuring the Krampus demon and people tend to look at me sideways when I do, but whatever. 🙂
