A couple of years ago we took a Labor Day road trip to see the Dave Matthews Band at the Gorge and along the way we stopped to (literally) smell the roses at the award winning Manito Park and Botanical Gardens in Spokane, Washington.
There are 90 acres of the most beautiful botanical gardens and while we weren’t able to see it all because of my health issues and time constraints, what we did get to see was pretty great.
Here are a few of my favorite shots:

Hopefully someday soon we’ll make it back over and tour the rest. If not, I’m pretty happy that I got to go at all since just a few years ago it didn’t seem like I’d ever be able to leave the house again, let alone spend time surrounded by so many things that trigger my immune system.
Looking at all these flowers makes me really anxious to get out in my own gardens and start working again! Also something I never thought I’d be able to do.
I owe it all to Dr. P, who I have an appointment with in April. I can’t wait to show him how my Medic Alert bracelet didn’t agree with me.
We’ll also get to discuss the COVID vaccine. That should be interesting.
Heh. 🙂
What a glorious place this looks.
